COOPS

COOPS (Cooperative Control for Energy Management Systems) is a Joint International Lab, between National Research Council of Italy (CNR) and Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), 2015-2017.

COOPS aims to continue and enhance a long-term successful cooperation between CNR-IEIIT and several Japanese researchers. The focal point of the lab is to develop novel tools and algorithms for Cooperative Control of Energy Management Systems, which is a strategic area for industrial and social applications. The lab is established as a satellite activity of the Japanese project JST CREST, which represents a core project of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) for developments in both fundamental science and technology transfer.

Elettric 80

Elettric 80 is one of the most important producers and providers of end-of-line automation solutions which increase operational profitability and efficiency. The company produces a highly flexible and scalable material handling system which utilises palletising robots, Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs), high speed wrappers (Silkworm) and a pallet control system. The entire process is managed centrally by a state-of-the-art Warehouse Management System (WMS).

The SCT Group started its collaboration with Elettric 80 in 2008, with a small project related to the design of a path following scheme for a four-wheeled AGV. The success of this collaboration lead to a larger project, lead by IEIIT-C2T under supervision of F. Dabbene, and involving Politecnico di Torino and University of Genova.

E80

ROBO M.D - Innovation for Welfare

ROBO M.D. aims to develop an automatic system for modeling, monitoring and controlling cardiovascular state in tele-medicine, in association to Giuseppe del Re, University of Linz and a few other Partners, within the Innovation 4 Welfare framework of the European Union.

Robo M.D. is one of eight sub-projects in the Interreg IVC project Innovation 4 Welfare. A home-care robot for monitoring and detection of critical situations is developed to improve quality of life of risk patients like elderly people and also to reduce costs of home care- systems. This robot allows a monitoring of risk patients without the need of a caregiver and thus provides important benefits for this class of patients giving them the opportunity to stay at home independently.

Progetto Nazionale PRIN 2008

The SCT Group is also involved in the PRIN 2008 project "Metodologie avanzate per il controllo in retroazione di sistemi nonlineari incerti". The national coordinator of the project is Alberto Isidori.

Highly complex and networked control systems - HYCON2

The SCT Group is involved in the European Project Network of Excellence (NoE) - ICT Call 5 FP7-ICT-2009-5, with the HYCON2 project. The Project Coordinator is F. Lamnabhi- Lagarrigue. The coordinator of the CNR unit is Benedetto Piccoli.
